Be a part of land preservation!
Join, volunteer, donate to the Manchester Land Conservation Trust, a nonprofit, publicly supported organization dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, and maintenance of open space lands and water resources in Manchester and surrounding towns, protecting habitat for animal, bird, and plant life. Donate via credit card or PayPal (see join us / donate link on left). The Trust owns 450 acres of forest, meadow, ponds, and a historic rail trail in Manchester, Andover, Bolton, East Hartford, Glastonbury, and Vernon.  

The Trust promotes conservation and a love of the outdoors by leading free hikes on its properties, and supports hiking, bicycling, snowshoeing, fishing, birdwatching, and other healthful activities on our properties of sufficient size. We welcome members and supporters. Join online (see menu at left). Come hiking with us!

Rockville Acquisition: Stickney Hill Preserve

Volunteers have created a great trail! And we invite the public to come enjoy a walk at Stickney Hill Preserve either on their own, or join us for a guided hike -- see Events page.

Farm on Bush Hill Road
The Trust purchased a 62-acre former farm on Bush Hill Road in southwestern Manchester and off Bell Street in Glastonbury. View a 26-second video of the farmland March 2016 farm walk. See Map of Property. The public is invited to enjoy the farm trails, built by volunteers. Come on one of our guided hikes or explore the paths on your own self-guiding trail map .
